Blessings. Benedictions, and Doxologies

In the New Testament, most of the epistles end with BLESSINGS. This is the Word of God.

The word BENEDICTION has Latin roots meaning “well wishing.” The word DOXOLOGY has Greek roots meaning “glory speaking” (speaking of God’s glory)

They contain ‘Christ –Doctrine.’ Their repetitions show their importance. Many messages can be preached using the content of these blessings. Glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are very familiar with the Aaronic Blessing in Numbers 6:23 – 26. God said that this was the blessing for the children of Israel, to be pronounced by the Priest Aaron and his sons.
